from Churchill Downs and Aqueduct D.S. Williamson Horse Racing Tips provided by D.S. Williams... Read the article below which gives you tips and information on betting on horses. Hollywood Park is hosting their annual California Gold Rush Stakes day, but the two best graded races of the weekend occur at Aqueduct and Churchill Downs. At Aqueduct, it is the Grade III Wither’s Stakes, while at Churchill Downs it is the Grade III Derby Trial. The Derby Trial at Churchill Downs shouldn’t produce a horse in next Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, but BetUS Racebook fans should keep an eye on the horses that run well in the Derby Trial. They often show up in the Preakness Stakes later on in May. Let’s analyze the Grade III Wither’s and the Grade III Derby Trial. Aqueduct – Race 9 Grade III Wither’s Stakes $150,000 For Three Year Olds There’s a lot of speed in this. So, it makes sense to go for a horse that has shown the ability to close. That horse is the 8 to 1 morning line Just A Coincidence. Trained by Nick Zito, Just A Coincidence has gone 2-2-2 out of 8 Finish Reading this Post...

A combination of sports insight and personal opinion What an unbelievable series so far between the Celtics and Bulls. However, if the Celtics want to have any shot of making it to the Conference Finals; they better win game 6, because this dangerously thin team needs all the rest it can get. · Stephon Marbury needs to shoot the ball more. Imagine reading that statement a few years ago. · I don’t want to hear Brad Miller and the Bulls complain about a flagrant foul not being called. Shut up, step up, and make the two free throws. · Ben Gordon sure didn’t play like someone with a bum hammy. While he did force a few attempts, he made his fair share of incredible shots last night. · Anyone else notice Brad Penny’s tennis-like grunts after every pitch last night? Simply uncalled for. · On a personal note, I was treated to a wind-aided up-skirt shot yesterday while driving Finish Reading this Post...

by Fred Wills My Preview of Marlins vs. Mets Marlins have struggled against quality opponents and they will continue now with Hanley Ramirez's injury. He is doubtful tonight and that is good news for LIvan Hernandez who does not have great numbers against the Marlins, but neither does Nolasco against the Mets. Nolasco is 2-3 with a 6.40 era when visiting the Mets. He has a 2-5 6.28era overall vs. the Mets. The Mets line up is killing Nolasco. Reyes .448 3HR, Wright .429 3HR, Beltran .308, Delgado .304, Murphy .364, Castillo .667, Church .200. I expect Nolasco to struggle as he has all year long. He has not put together one solid start yet and he struggles with his command. I expect him to do the same tonight when he looks at the lineup card and the opponents numbers against. On the other side of the ball you have Hernandez who has struggled vs. the Marlins 7.22era in 5GS in the last 3 years. Hernandez who struggled in his last 2 starts will likely give up a few runs here tonight, but will give the Mets 7 innings and get the Finish Reading this Post...

Hornets, Sharks humiliated

By BetOnline on 04/28/2009 10:56 AM

By Betonline As the Stanley Cup odds and NBA Finals odds approach, the contenders and pretenders are quickly being separated in the eyes of those betting online. To call the Hornets’ Game-4 loss last night an embarrassment would be an amazing understatement; they only suffered the worst playoff basketball betting loss in NBA history last night, losing by an absurd 58 points. Unless you count David West, Chris Paul and the Hornets odds have been exposed; they’re a one-man team and they’re hanging by a thread travelling back to Denver for Game 5. Tonight’s basketball betting lines are packed with exciting action; the Celtics will try to overcome injuries and fatigue to take the series lead back at home against the Bulls, the Magic hope to push the surprisingly pesky Sixers odds to the brink of elimination, while the Spurs and Trail Blazers both hang by a thread. The Spurs odds are especially grim right now as Tony Parker couldn’t be playing any better yet still doesn’t have enough support to singlehandedly carry his team to victory. He and Tim Duncan scored 68 of their team’s 90 points in Finish Reading this Post...

by Fred Wills John Maine: Mr. Maine had an unearned run in the first inning as Sheffield allowed the leadoff man on after letting the ball hit his glove and drop in play. John Maine gets an early 6 run lead thanks to Omar Santos grand slam in the first inning. John Maine finished with a strong effort. His final line was 6IP, 1H, 3BB, 4K’s. He was taking out to keep his confidence by Jerry Manuel. Maine significantly lowered his era with today’s start. Manuel on Maine, “John commanded the strike zone and threw his off speed pitches for strikes.” Maine has always struggled with his pitch count that has gotten him into trouble and leaving games early. It was good to see him go into the 6th inning and have good command. Mark Sanchez: The Jets highly touted 1st round draft pick was in the booth with Gary Cohen and Ron Darling to start the 2nd inning. Sanchez threw out the first pitch in tonight’s game and it was an ugly one. As a Jet fan I Finish Reading this Post...
