Neither team has done much with the bats vs. RHP the last 5 games, but Detroit will have the advantage today against Meche who has a 5.06 ERA last 3 starts and a 6.86 ERA at home in 4 GS. Verlander has a 1.27 ERA and .80 whip last 3 starts. He has been amazing in 3 day starts with a 1.96 ERA and 32 strike outs in just 18.1IP nearly 2K's per inning. KC has scored just 2.08 R/9 with a .197 avg vs. RHP last 5. They faced three STL pitchers Pineiro, Lohse, Wellemeyer, and they faced Pavano and Carmona. Verlander is a step ahead of all these pitchers in my opinion. DET is also 8-3 in Verlander's last 11 starts vs. the Royals.
