It is the most wonderful time of the year for fans around the country. The Super Bowl is a mere week away and this year’s match is sure not to disappoint. It has been nicknamed the Harbaugh Bowl because it is the first time in NFL history that two head coaches who are also brothers will be facing off in the big game.

San Francisco 49ers

John Harbaugh’s dreams have finally come true with a trip to the Super Bowl. Second year quarterback Colin Kaepernick has successfully taken Alex Smith’s job by enacting his running game. The strong offensive game has propelled the 49ers to the forefront of the NFC. On the offensive line headed by the Smith brothers, have struck fear in every defensive line. The 49ers defense is nothing less than great as well. Several times over the course of the season the 49er’s defense was heralded as the best in the NFL. However, they will have their hands full with the Ravens defensive core and offensive weapons.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens did the impossible in the AFC championship game and beat the New England Patriots. Now, they have an even harder test in the 49ers. Joe Flacco will need to hit every long ball he throws with accuracy in order to outwit the 49er’s defense. Anquan Boldin is one of the strongest wide receivers in the league, and along with the incredibly fast Torrey Smith, the pair will be heavily used come Sunday’s game. The Ravens defense is where they shine. With Ray Lewis playing his last game, emotions will be high for the entire team. Ed Reed is ball hawking even the best quarterbacks and combined they will be a thorn in Kaepernick’s side.

As of today, many and have the odds are in the Ravens favor because of their play a couple of weeks ago in New England. There are also a lot of long shot prop bets available that could make the game that much more fun for fans.
