SBC Sports Betting News – NBA Playoff Injury Update Is Every

An overview of the main sports headlines this week tells you that the NBA playoffs are on the minds of most sports bettors. Separating fact from fiction on the injury front is very important.

Spurs Go Into Series Against Lakers With A Deficient, Dinged-Up Tony Parker

You know that any football-minded person interested in is looking for diversions and other betting attractions while the preparations continue for the NFL draft. There's only so much a football betting service can write about before the draft runs its course. Basketball is a big deal for sports bettors right now, as the NBA postseason gets off the ground. You’ve seen a lot of teams rest their star players in recent weeks, so it’s worth making the distinction between situations in which teams are merely keeping their stars fresh, and – on the other hand – situations in which stars are truly hampered by lingering physical problems. Making this distinction will help you to bet on the playoffs with greater accuracy and consistency.

You would probably find that in a , experts will point to the San Antonio Spurs as a team that’s genuinely limited by injuries as the postseason begins. Tony Parker, the team’s point guard, was playing at an elite level. He was San Antonio’s best player this season, better than Tim Duncan. However, after suffering an ankle injury a few weeks after the All-Star break, Parker was sidelined for four weeks. He came back and played 35 minutes or more in several consecutive contests, but in early April, he suffered a shin injury and is far from healthy right now. Parker has missed four of San Antonio’s last eight games. In the four games during that stretch when he played, Parker logged an average of 28.5 minutes per game, a reasonable workload. However, while Parker was able to stay on the floor for extended stretches, he didn’t look good in the process. Parker hit just 14 of 39 shots in those four games, just under 37 percent from the field. Parker is simply not the same player he was before the two injuries – to the ankle and the shin. Keep that in mind as you assess the Spurs in these playoffs.

Knicks’ Chandler Professes Complete Health In Advance Of Playoff Opener

Various in America might be intrigued by the first-round series in the Eastern Conference between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics, partly because of perceived health issues with New York center Tyson Chandler, who has been a rebounding force for the Knicks this season. The smart calculus would suggest that Chandler’s health needs to be viewed with some cautiousness, but not too much. The general line of thought is that Chandler missed the last six games of the regular season because the Knicks felt that they had the second seed in the East comfortably tucked away. Had the Knicks felt more pressure from the Indiana Pacers, Chandler probably would have played more. As it was, New York felt it could have afforded to sit Chandler for six games. The fact that Chandler said he was “100 percent” on Thursday, two days before the start of the playoffs against Boston, adds to this line of analysis. Could it be true that Chandler is less healthy than he and the Knicks are saying? It is entirely possible. The Knicks have been tentatively exploring options for backup low-post players over the past few weeks, suggesting that they didn’t feel entirely comfortable with Chandler’s health. However, it seems that there’s more reason to think that New York prioritized the need for Chandler to be fresh for the playoffs. Keep an eye on this situation in Game 1 on Saturday in the Big Apple.
