Louisville vs. Syracuse 1st Half – College Football Betting Recap

September 9, 2016 | Posted By Freddy Wills

1st HALF RECAP:

I mean this first half was just completely crazy.  let me first make a consesion and say that I gave out Syracuse as a a top play tonight. Lamar Jackson is a stud accounting for 5 TD’s in the first half, but he also has an INT at the end of the half that was costly.  Louisville got off to an extremely fast start with their offense and it seemed to take the life out of this Syracuse team.  Louisville got it done with big plays to get the 21-0 lead in this game and it looked like it was going to get extremely ugly.  Then Syracuse got into a groove on offense and scored behind their up tempo offense and it looked like they could get back in the game and the college football pick that I gave out to clients would still have a shot.

It was 21-7, and another big play from Louisville and Syracuse just could not get a groove on offense despite forcing two turnovers and a punt since.  Louisville was either getting cramps or faking injuries but it was enough to disrupt the offense.  There were also plenty of drop passes for Syracuse, and penalties that also helped their offense stall and then it was 35-7 and one would not think Syracuse +14.5 had any sort of a chance, but Syracuse came back with two fast TD’s to make 35-21.   That is the beauty of Dino Babers that I spoke about in my analysis.  Tempo, tempo, tempo.

This game could easily be 35-35 The Louisville offense had plenty of mistakes from Louisville’s offense in the first half.  Syracuse  should have stolen that momentum and got back into the game earlier, but they were unable to until late.  This game is 35-21, and call me crazy, but I still feel like Syracuse could get back in this game.  They get the ball first out of the half and if they can figure out how to get some momentum this Louisville defense could get tired.  Who is going to make the half time adjustments?   Check out the second half college football odds.
