Sports Betting – A Preview Of Saturday’s Wagering Ticket

It’s time to put those away for a minute and start getting ready for a busy Saturday of sports betting picks, starting with college football, continuing on to action on the baseball diamond, and then concluding with the final race before the Chase For The Sprint Cup in NASCAR.

NCAA Football Betting

Mississippi State Auburn Odds (12:21 PM ET): The No.16 Bulldogs are 5.5-point favorites on the road against the defending national champions, who needed a late rally to get past Utah State in their opener.

Alabama Penn State Odds (3:30 PM ET): players will find the No.3 Crimson Tide as 10-point favorites in Happy Valley, where the No.3 Nittany Lions are always tough to play. This is the first-ever meeting for these national powerhouses.

Virginia Tech East Carolina Odds (3:30 PM ET): The No.11 Hokies are favored by 17 points in East Carolina, but the Pirates were the better team against South Carolina last week…at least for half the game.

South Carolina Georgia Odds (4:30 PM ET): The No.12 Gamecocks are 3-point favorites in Georgia, where the Bulldogs will return between the hedges after losing to Boise State in the Georgia Dome last week. South Carolina like Jekkyl and Hyde last week, and they’ll need more against their SEC rivals.

Notre Dame Michigan Odds (8:00 PM ET): In the first night game in the Big House, the Fighting Irish are 3-point favorites, even after a disastrous performance against South Florida. Michigan scored 34 points in a shortened game, and should be the favorites at home.

MLB Betting

Twins Tigers Odds (4:10 PM ET): Detroit’s Max Scherzer goes for his 15th win of the season against the Twins’ Anthony Swarzak, who has lost his last three starts.

Athletics Rangers Odds (4:10 PM ET): Oakland’s Trevor Cahill takes on Texas’ Alexi Ogando, who has struggled mightily since the All-Star break and is even being skipped in the rotation.

Phillies Brewers Odds (7:10 PM ET): Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee hasn’t allowed a run in five of his last six starts, and he’ll go up against Milwaukee’s Randy Wolf.

Yankees Angels Odds (9:05 PM ET): This should be among the top of the night as New York’s C.C. Sabathia takes on Los Angeles’ Dan Haren.

NASCAR Betting

Richmond Odds (7:30 PM ET): The Wonderful Pistachios 400 at Richmond should be wild as it’s the last race before the Chase starts, which means drivers will be scrambling to get into the playoffs. JGR drivers Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin have combined to win the last five races at the 0.75-mile track, but don’t rule out a darkhorse in your book.
