After watching the of your early-summer trip, move on over to your online betting book on Thursday to check out some wagering options for the day, and there is plenty of variety as baseball, college football and golf will be on the menu.

MLB Betting (standings as of Wednesday)

Mets Cardinals Odds (1:45 PM ET): The Cardinals are 2.5 games behind Atlanta in the race for the National League wild card, and they’ll give the ball to Jake Westbrook, while the Mets counter with Chris Capuano.

Rays Yankees Odds (7:05 PM ET): players can check out the finale of a four-game set in New York, where the Yankees will go with Bartolo Colon, while the Rays send out Jeff Niemann as they attempt to track down Boston (who have a two-game lead over Tampa Bay) in the American League wild-card race.

Angels Blue Jays Odds (7:07 PM ET): The Angels are also in the mix for the wild card, trailing the Red Sox by 3.5 games, but players may find Los Angeles to be underdogs in Toronto, where Ervin Santana takes on Blue Jays prospect Henderson Alvarez.

Giants Dodgers Odds (10:10 PM ET): Finally, San Francisco are 4.5 games behind Atlanta in the race for the National League wild card, but their longtime rivals would love to play spoiler. The Dodgers will go with Hiroki Kuroda, while the Giants send out Madison Bumgarner.

NCAA Football Betting

North Carolina State Cincinnati Odds (8:00 PM ET): odds have the Bearcats favored by a touchdown at home, and they’ll be out to avenge a 30-19 loss at North Carolina State last year. Both are coming into this non-conference contest with a 2-1 record, and there is an interesting subplot here as the ACC (North Carolina State) and the Big East (Cincinnati) made news this week off the field. The ACC lured Pittsburgh and Syracuse from the Big East, but the Bearcats would like to prove that their conference deserves some respect.

Golf Betting

Tour Championship Odds (Tee times start at 11:35 AM ET): The final event in the PGA Tour’s playoffs, the FedEx Cup, will be held as usual at East Lake in Georgia, and five players (Webb Simpson, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Luke Donald and Justin Rose) can win the $10 million prize if they win this event. Jim Furyk and Tiger Woods have done the double, and three of these players (Simpson, Johnson and Rose) have already won in the playoffs. As it is only a 30-player field, the stakes are high and it’s going to be a thrilling weekend for golf fans looking to make a wager.
