NBA News: Heat Burn Bulls With 35 From Lebron

Lebron James scored 35 point, and the Miami Heat held on in the dying seconds for a 97-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Up just one point with 22.7 seconds left on the clock, the Heat watched as reigning MVP Derrick Rose went to the line to shoot two free throws already a perfect 29-for-29 from the foul line in the fourth quarter this season. But Rose missed both free throws, and in the dying seconds missed another as Miami held on for the win to move just one game back of Chicago for first place in the Eastern conference. Dwayne Wade finished with 15 points and seven assists in his second game back from an ankle injury.

Golf News: Rock Wins In Abu Dhabi; Tiger Finishes Third

Robert Rock captured just his second European Tour victory on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, narrowly holding on to a slim lead that was made that much more impressive by the men that he beat in the HSBC Golf Championships. Rock held on for a two-stroke lead over former World No. 1 Tiger Woods, who hit three bogeys in the final round after hitting just two in the first three rounds of the tournament. Woods appeared destined to win his first official tournament in more than two years, and although he struggled on the final day, he is certainly back on the radar as he showed some great form all weekend.

Betting News: MVP Gaborik Carries Team Chara In All-Star Win

New York Rangers’ winger Marian Gaborik scored the hat trick and added another assist as Team Chara cruised to a 12-9 win over Team Alfredsson at the NHL All Star game on Sunday. There were several odd man breaks and a penalty shot from NHL leading scorer Steven Stamkos, who was denied in close, but in the end despite two comebacks of at least two goals by Team Alfredsson it was Team Chara that prevailed. The NHL regular season schedule continues on Tuesday with 13 games on the schedule, including the All Star host Ottawa Senators traveling to face the defending Stanley Cup champions Boston Bruins, and a Western conference rivalry matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks.

News: Marshalls’ Four TD’S Lead AFC In Pro Bowl Win

Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver Brandon Marshall set the tone at the 2012 Pro Bowl on Sunday with an incredible stat line that included six catches for 176 yards and four touchdowns, as the AFC cruised past the NFC to a 59-41 victory at Honolulu. Marshall won MVP honors after he caught a touchdown pass in all four quarters, in a game that had several highlight reel plays. The 59 points by the AFC set a new high, and the 100 combined points was the second-highest in Pro Bowl history. That is despite both teams were missing two of the best quarterbacks in the game in New England Patriots’ Tom Brady and Eli Manning of the New York Giants, who each continue to prepare for this Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch.
