Golf News: Tiger Clinches His First PGA Win In 30 Months

Back in his red Nike shirt and black pants, Tiger Woods walked towards the final green at Bay Hill with an added element of swagger in his step before putting home the final shot of his first PGA Tour win in 30 months. Hundreds flocked to that 18th green for the chance to see Woods putt that final shot, landing his first PGA victory since 2009. The win effectively silences the critics who ripped in to Tiger for playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational with the 2012 Masters right around the corner, and after the strong performance, Woods now looks as capable as ever of continuing his pursuit of Jack Nicklaus’ record.

News: Kentucky, Kansas Join Louisville, Ohio State In Final Four

If there was going to be one game where the North Carolina Tar Heels would pay for not having Kendall Marshall in the starting lineup, it was going to be in the Elite Eight against the Kansas Jayhawks, and that is exactly what happened. Freshman guard Stilman White was clearly outmatched against the bigger, more athletic Jayhawks’ backcourt, and that was the difference at the end of the day as Kansas pulled away late for an 80-67 win. Meanwhile, Kentucky is headed back to the Final Four as well following another big win, taking out the Baylor Bears 82-70. The Wildcats have won all four of their tournament games by double-digit margins, and are now set to play Louisville in the Final Four, with Kansas going up against Ohio State.

NHL News: Crosby Scores Again In Penguins’ Win; Caps Move Closer To Playoff Spot

Sidney Crosby scored for the second straight game and added an assist in a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Sunday, with the goal being his first at home since scoring twice in his season debut against the Islanders in November. It was a pretty play past the Devils’ defenseman at the blue line before Crosby sniped one past Martin Brodeur, helping to move Pittsburgh to within one point of the New York Rangers for the top spot in the division. Elsewhere on Sunday, Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals moved one step closer to clinching the final playoff spot in the Eastern conference with a 3-0 win over the Minnesota Wild, while Marty Turco got his first NHL win in over 400 days as the Boston Bruins bounced the Anaheim Ducks on the road.

Betting News: Thunder Obliterate Heat In Potential NBA Finals Preview

In a game that many were hyping as a potential preview for this year’s NBA finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder made sure it wasn’t even close, as Kevin Durant led the way to a 103-87 win with a game-high 28 points on Sunday. Oklahoma City had four players in double digits with Serge Ibaka, Kendrick Perkins, and Russell Westbrook all getting in to the action as well, as the Thunder made a statement against one of the top teams from the East. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City didn’t gain any ground on the San Antonio Spurs, which had no problem with the Philadelphia 76ers in a 93-76 home win, while the Los Angeles Lakers lost at home to the Memphis Grizzlies 103-96 in the late game.
