Sports Betting – A Look at Thursday’s Wagering Schedule
Take a break from that for a minute as we know you’re preparing to make UFC 142 picks this weekend, but you have Thursday to get through first and here are the matchups you should check out as hoops action takes the spotlight, while the NHL is also on the slate.
NBA Odds
Knicks Grizzlies Odds (8:00 PM ET): New York and Memphis kick off the first half of the TNT doubleheader, and a of the season for both teams would be less than complimentary. The Knicks have struggled mightily to score points, which no one saw coming, and there is a lack of ball movement in the offense. The Grizzlies lost forward Zach Randolph to a knee injury, but a win over the Knicks could get them on track.
Magic Warriors Odds (10:30 PM ET): In the nightcap, Orlando will be in Golden State, where the Warriors upset Miami on Tuesday night. The Magic have been up and down as the Dwight Howard saga swirls around their club, and everyone is saying that he’ll stay in Orlando for the year, but we’re still not buying it and things won’t be settled until after the trade deadline.
NHL Odds
Bruins Canadiens Odds (7:00 PM ET): Players that use software should watch this regardless of whether they’re planning to bet on it, as it’s always a fun time when these Original Six rivals get together.
Flyers Islanders Odds (7:00 PM ET): Philadelphia heads to Long Island to face their Atlantic Division rivals, who are much tougher at home than on the road, but the Flyers are also strong outside of the City of Brotherly Love.
Coyotes Red Wings Odds (7:30 PM ET): Phoenix isn’t out of the postseason race in the Western conference, but they’re starting to slide and you can be out of it with one bad month. They’ll be in Detroit to face the Red Wings, who have been inconsistent as of late.
Stars Kings Odds (10:30 PM ET): Los Angeles has been a major disappointment to those that are used to services, but they’re still ahead of Dallas, who trailed the Kings by two points as of Wednesday.
College Basketball Betting
Virginia Duke Odds (9:00 PM ET): The No.8 Blue Devils have won 43 in a row at Cameron Indoor stadium, and the No.16 Cavaliers haven’t won at Duke since 1995, but this year’s Virginia team is rolling and this could be their best chance to win on the road against their ACC rival.
Gonzaga Saint Mary’s Odds (11:00 PM ET): The No.23 Bulldogs have bounced back nicely from a pair of losses to Big Ten teams in December, but the Gaels are always dangerous and are looking to get back into the rankings themselves, so you should keep an eye on this if you’re a serious player.
