The Rangers and Rays battle on Friday on Apple TV and we’re on the under. Kikuchi gets the ball and his will likely be his final start with the Jays as his name has floated around for trades. He’s been hit or miss, but this Rangers lineup has played much different on the road. Heaney counters and he’s a vet who has been much more consistent as of late. White Sox +1.5

The White Sox have the value on the RL here on Friday against Seattle. The Mariners are in freefall mode right now as they have fallen out of first place after being swept by the Angels. They had plenty of chances to add to. 1-0 lead on Wednesday, but this depleted lineup failed to do so. They blew the game in the 8th and now have zero momentum heading into the weekend. Drew Thorpe has been a quality arm since being called up for the Sox too. Over 7 starts he owns an ERA of just 3 and he's been able to work deep into games when he's on the hill. Chicago's lineup is a little bit better at home and will make Kirby work. The White Sox have been close in all but one of Thorpe's starts so far and this is a good spot for them to keep things close. Grab the Sox on the RL. (I doubt Mariners new trade acquisition Randy Arozarena makes it in time for this game)

Friday 9* MLB RL Play

Yankees -120

We're on the Yankees on Friday as they take on the Red Sox inside Fenway Park. New York has been scuffling and playing their rivals here in the AL East may be what they need to wake them up. They send out Nestor Cortes in this spot, who threw a solid outing against this Red Sox team a few starts ago. He finished with 6.0 innings of work and just 1 run and he's been able to step up when this team needs him to make a quality outing. Bello counters and he was roughed up against New York. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits and just didn't have anything. This lineup needs to take the same approach and make him work from the outset. We're getting a lower price given the Yankees issues as of late, but they're still the better team overall with the pitching edge on Friday.

Royals -140

We're playing the Royals on Friday as they welcome in the Cubs for a weekend series. Chicago has just not been able to figure things out and management has already stated that they will be sellers at the deadline. That can't be good for the clubhouse morale as the trade deadline approaches. Hendricks has been a struggle this season as well, as he has had zero success or consistency. He's boasting an ERA of 6.69 and he goes up against a Royals team that hits the cover off the ball at home. Singer threw a gem against the White Sox last time out and is pitching with confidence. He should see plenty of run support as well here, which will allow him to settle in. This is a good spot and price on KC.
