FREE PLAY on the UNDER Padres/D-Backs. Arizona has won five straight, including the first two of this series. San Diego will now be anxious to snap a three-game slide. Yesterday's game flew well OVER the number in the D-Backs 8-7 win, but with two competent starters going head-to-head in the finale on Sunday afternoon, I'm expecting a lower-scoring "duel" finally. Nick Pivetta (6-2, 3.48 ERA) gets the call for the Friars, while Merrill Kelly (6-2, 3.18 ERA) counters for the home side. I'm expecting these guys to battle into the deeper innings and because of that, I'll recommend a "second look" here at the UNDER. Good luck, NP |

This is a 2% BLOOD-BATH on the Riders on the moneyline. Neither team played well defensively last week, but I look for the Riders to take advantage of a Hamilton side that allowed 428 totals yards last week, despite only facing 28 passing plays and 31 rushing plays. Riders' veteran QB Trevor Harris is the correct call. Let's bypass the spread and instead lay the price for the RIDERS on the RUNLINE to just win the game outright. Good luck, NP |

This is a 2% SUPER TOTAL on the UNDER Seattle/Golden State. Seattle is 6-4 and Golden State is 4-5. Both have been playing to several high-scoring games of late, but this matchup screams much more of a defensive battle. Look for each team to run its offense through the post and to also play tough half and full-court defense. As a result, the UNDER becomes the correct call in this one. Good luck, NP |

This is a 2% TOP PLAY on the UNDER Panthers/Oilers. The first four games of this series have flown OVER the number, but now with the Finals down to "The-Best-Of-Three," I'm expecting these capable defensive teams to finally "show up." Fatigue will also play a major factor in my opinion at this point after three of the first four games have gone into overtime. Once the Oilers made the change to Calvin Pickard between the first and second period, their defensive play suddenly looked a lot better. Pickard went on to stop 22 of 23 shots in Game 4 after Stuart Skinner allowed three goals on 17 shots in the first period. Pickard though enters Game 5 with a solid 2.69 GAA. It's interesting to note that dating back to last year's Cup Final, six of these teams last seven head-to-head matchups have been decided by one goal. Both teams have looked great offensively, but I think it'll be Pickard and Florida goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky that take "center stage" so to speak. Edmonton now has momentum and home ice advantage on its side. The Oilers are now the first road team to rally from a 3-0 deficit to win a Stanley Cup Final game since 1919. IF the Oilers decide to go with Skinner, then I STILL love this play. Skinner has a 2.99 GAA and he'll benefit from playing in front of the home town crowd. The value has now FINALLY swung the other way as far as the total is concerend. The play is on the UNDER. Good luck, NP |
