Seattle has won four straight, including game 1 in their road series vs the Angels, giving up just 6 runs in the 4 games. The Angels have lost 3 of 4 at home, but won 4 of 5 vs the Mariners in their road series last week.

A pair of very good starters face off tonight, Gilbert for Seattle, and lefty Sandoval for the Angels. Gilbert gave up a just pair of runs vs the Angels over 6 innings last time out. He has been solid in June (2.25 ERA), has good control, and avoids the long ball. Sandoval (2.70 ERA) limited the M’s to just 1 run over 6 innings in his last start and has also been sharp in June.

The Mariners struggle on the road and are very poor vs Left handed pitching, but have been getting tremendous support from their relievers lately. The Angels are below .500 vs right-handers, and when at home.

It looks like a day when pitching rules the roost.  A very good number is available today. Given the success both starters had in Seattle series, and the M’s bullpen, I am taking the UNDER today.
