Big 12 College Football Betting Recap | Week 6

Oklahoma vs. Texas

This is why I love college football.  The Red River Rivalry is one the biggest if not the biggest rivalry in college football.  You have Texas at 1-4 with their coach on the hot seas and you get Oklahoma coming as the #10 team in the land and heavy favorites and they get upset! I am kicking myself for not looking at this game.  I was high on Texas the week before they played TCU.  After TCU I figured I would not touch them but for Texas they have the talent it seems like an effort thing for me and the win against Oklahoma means a lot to these players I knew they would be giving it their all.  Their defense was absolutely dominant which we have not seen this year.

Outlook – Oklahoma will face Kansas State at home who is coming off a near upset of TCU and are in the same situation as Oklahoma almost except they were on the other end of the upset.  Oklahoma opens up as a 4.5 point favorite, but even if I wanted to bet the Sooners I can’t with Bill Snyder at Kansas State.    Texas gets the bye and then will host Kansas State as well which could be a nice spot to fade Texas again, but a lot can change between then and now.

TCU  vs. Kansas st

TCU just keeps getting lucky or putting themselves in harms way and Kansas State led this game 42-31 in the 4th quarter, but couldn’t hold on.  I was shocked as TCU was a 10 point favorite, but this is classicBill Snyder.  The bigger question is what does Kansas State have left this week?

OUtlook – Kansas State will host Oklahoma and are 4.5 point under dogs.  Fortunate for them Oklahoma comes off their own devastating loss, but more so as they were 17 point favorites against Texas.

Oklahoma St vs West Virg

This is a key game this past week that I decided not to play despite my formulas liking Oklahoma State who continues to look better than people are giving them credit for. This was an ugly game with 7 total turnovers and does not seem like either are going to be able to challenge the top teams in their conference with that type of performance.

Outlook perspective: West Virginia is at Baylor this week.  The game I’m most excited for is Oklahoma State hosting TCU November 7th.  I would like to see what the spread is for that game although TCU probably loses a game between then and now.
