SEC College Football Betting Recap | Week 6

October 12, 2015 | Posted By Freddy Wills

Georgia vs. Tennessee

Okay this game actually really frustrated me.  Not because I was on Georgia, okay maybe a little, but Georgia blows a 24-3 lead despite losing their best player Nick Chubb on a grusome injury on the first play of the game.  It does not even frustrate me that Georgia dropped a wide open TD pass that would have tied this game and send it to overtime.  What bugs me is Georgia could not stinkin tackle.  I don’t know how many broken tackles I could count in this game, but they could not tackle Josh Dobbs who weights 207 lbs at 6-3, and had 118 yards on 18 carries.  They also couldn’t tackle Jalen Hurd who I at least could understand since he weight 240 lbs, but he was routinely hit at the line of scrimmage and fell forward 4 yards or so.  I also can not understand why Butch Jones is celebrating like they won something?  Dude you are 3-3 and have all the talent in the world and you finally break through and it’s because Georgia lost their Heisman candidate Nick Chubb on the first play of the game.  Lets be honest it’s a completely different game with a 24-3 lead with Chubb in there.

Dude… relax you did not win shit!

Outlook – Georgia is a 16 point favorite against Missouri after they looked miserable against Florida at home and Tennessee gets the week off so we will have to wait just one more week to fade them big when they go on the road to face Alabama.

Arkansas vs Alabama

Arkansas hung in this game for a long time which was not surprising after Alabama’s big win the week before and with Texas A&M on deck.  It was 7-3 at the half, but Alabama really changed the game in the second half and cruised.

Outlook perspective:  Alabama opens up as a 3.5 point favorite at Texas A&M who comes off a bye and will host Alabama.  A&M has to be licking their chops with a chance to get into the national discussion.  The value is absolutely on A&M, they have elite receivers who can challenge the weakness of Alabama, which is their secondary.  If Alabama does not win 38-10 on the road against Georgia the week before they probably are not favorites here.

Florida vs. Missouri

This was a very disappointing game for Missouri as I really thought they would show a better effort under Gary Pinkel, a head coach I really respect and still do.  It goes to show you how far Jim McElwain has already taken Florida as they are going to be right in the thick of things for the SEC East the way things looked until Will Grier their starting QB was just suspended for the rest of the season as we are doing this podcast.

Outlook: Red shirt freshment QB, gained 20-43 lbs tested positive for PED’s and is suspended for the year.  Wow!  Greir met with the media was sorry and said it was over the counter and didn’t clear it with the coaches or strength coach.  What I always hate is players will claim, well I took something over the counter and tested positive.. BULL.. It’s a bunch of bull shit, and this story really freaking stinks, because he was having a great season was putting the Gators back on the map, and now what?  LSU is a 7 point favorite at home and should probably handle Florida.  For Missouri they are a 17 point under dog at Georgia.
